Biography
Ivan Dimitrov is a Spanish-Bulgarian filmmaker. He studied at the ECAM school in Madrid. He has worked as a director and screenwriter on short films such as Paradiso (2025), Silencio (2024), and Negativ (2023), all shot in analog format.
Dimitrov's work features a style that blends the transcendental and horror, focusing primarily on creating atmospheres that reflect the characters' tormented state.
All of his films take place in dark landscapes where the protagonists descend into madness and must confront themselves and the world around them. History, religion, and the ethereal are recurring themes in Dimitrov's films.
